benecaster_patreon_shadow_records_created

Action Free

Fires after a Patreon patron CSV, uploaded from a show’s Visibility settings, creates shadow records for that show. A shadow record is a placeholder for one patron who has not joined Benecaster yet — one per valid email address in the CSV. It exists so the dashboard can count and track migration progress: it is not a subscriber, holds no feed access and is never emailed. Only fires when at least one valid email address was found, and only for Patreon; a Supercast upload creates the same kind of records without firing it.

An upload replaces the show’s previous Patreon records rather than adding to them, so $count is the new total for the show, not an increment. Use this hook to log the batch or update an external report. These people do not know the records exist, so do not use it to contact them.

Parameters

Name Type Default Description
$show_id int — ID of the show
$import_id int — Import batch ID
$count int — Number of shadow records created

Notes

Does not fire when the upload is handed off through the benecaster_migration_wizard_intercept_csv_upload filter, because no shadow records are created. Shadow records are deleted after 90 days by default — see benecaster_shadow_records_purged.
