benecaster_stripe_membership_invoice_paid
Fires when a Stripe invoice.paid webhook event is received for a built-in membership subscription. Fires on each successful invoice: the first payment and every renewal.
Benecaster records each paid invoice in its revenue ledger, once per invoice however many times Stripe delivers the event. To chart what a show has collected, read it back with benecaster_get_membership_payments() rather than recording payments from this hook.
Parameters
| Name | Type | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
$stripe_subscription_id |
string |
— | Stripe subscription ID |
$event |
\Stripe\Event |
— | Full Stripe event object |
Notes
$event is rendered at the Stripe API version of the podcaster's webhook endpoint, which can differ from the version Benecaster's own Stripe calls use. On an endpoint at 2025-03-31.basil or later, an invoice has no top-level subscription, payment_intent or charge. Use the $stripe_subscription_id argument, which Benecaster resolves from either shape, rather than reading those fields off $event.
