benecaster_get_over_limit_show_ids()

Utilities Free
benecaster_get_over_limit_show_ids(): int[]

Returns the show IDs currently disabled because the site is over its plan’s show limit.

Because the array is empty in both the unlimited case and the within-limit case, [] === benecaster_get_over_limit_show_ids() answers “is this site over limit?” and the array itself answers “which ones?”. It replaces reaching into ShowLimitEnforcer for either.

The set is reconciled on every successful license validation against the license server’s authoritative active_show_count and show_limit, and the newest shows are disabled first — a podcaster who adds a show beyond their plan loses the one they just added, not the one they have been publishing for two years.

Return Value

Type: int[]

Show post IDs currently disabled by the plan's show limit. Empty on an unlimited plan, and empty while the site is within its limit.

Example

$disabled = benecaster_get_over_limit_show_ids();

if ( [] !== $disabled ) {
    // The site is over its show limit, and $disabled is exactly which shows are switched off.
}

Notes

A disabled show is NOT archived and NOT deleted. Its content is intact, and the flag reverses the moment the site is back within its limit — by upgrading, or by the podcaster removing a show. Presence in this array is never license to destroy anything. An add-on that deletes, unpublishes or purges on the strength of it will lose a customer's work over a billing state that was meant to be temporary.

Pair it with the actions; do not choose between them. benecaster_show_limit_exceeded and benecaster_show_limit_recovered carry deltas — what changed on this tick — so an add-on listening only to those has to accumulate state and hope it never missed one. **Use the actions to know when to react, and this function to know what is true now.**
