Let subscribers choose what they pay — above a minimum you set, mapped automatically to the right tier.
Requires Benecaster’s built-in membership. A bridge plugin (MemberPress, WooCommerce Subscriptions, and the rest) sells fixed tier prices and has no way to create a Stripe subscription at whatever amount a subscriber types in. NYOP needs Benecaster’s own billing to do that.

Name Your Own Price subscriptions are a natural fit for independent podcasters with an engaged audience. Listeners who want to pay more can. Listeners who need a lower price can. You set the floor and the tier thresholds — Benecaster handles the rest.
How it works:
- You set a minimum price floor (optional — you can accept any positive amount)
- Suggested amounts display alongside a custom amount input at checkout
- Amount-to-tier mapping: define price thresholds that determine tier access — subscribers who pay more get more
- Amounts below the lowest threshold get free-tier access only
- Recurring Stripe subscription at the subscriber’s chosen amount
Flexible by design:
- Allow subscribers to adjust their price at renewal, or lock it in after the initial choice — your call
- Works alongside fixed-price tiers — offer both models for the same show
Who it’s for: Podcasters with a community-supported model, sliding-scale pricing, or an existing Patreon-style “pay what you can” relationship with their audience.
